What's new? The Cabled Bucket Bag!
As I was reminiscing through pattern ideas from years ago I came across a design for a pie wedged bottom, round, bucket purse with a wide strap and the wheels were a spinnin. A bucket bag...they were so popular in the day and I think they need another debut.
It's summer and hot so cotton was a def no brainer and it also adds to the ease of care. Went hunting in the wall of yarn and found a beautiful creamy K&C cotton skein and got to work. The wedges for the bottom went smoothly as did the details for bottom edge, worked through the body of the bag a few times until I found a rhythm and repeat I was happy with. The strap was a completely different story; I had to rip back and start over at least 20 times until it was just right but we made it! Went hunting for inserts online to promote structure for those who may desire that but the bag itself has a tighter gauge for the weight of yarn and minimal give being cotton soi it really holds up even without the insert! The pattern is still currently in editing and additional sample is being worked up but I am so excited to release this summer fun bucket bag pattern as soon as possible. What's currently on your needles?

Pattern has been coming along beautifully and ready for release today. Official name is the Nantucket Bucket Bag.
