New pattern design in the works and hot on the needles is the Quill shawl. Inspired by the stitch and the yarn I'm using: the Japanese Feather stitch with Purl Soho's Linen Quill. This combo is a sheer delight in the hand and on the needles. Soft and airy, light yet study, the drape will be a dream. All four sides and throughout the body it will feature beautiful undulating waves with delicate eyelets. Of course, I had to include a picture of little miss Minnie cuddled in my lap with my sample in progress. Leave a comment and tell me what you think. I will update more here and on social media as it continues.

The Quill shawl is complete and ready for test knitters/publication!! Will be posting requests for test knitters. The process was a complete joy to knit and with a bunch of stitch markers very rhythmic and calming. Best part...it's beautiful on both sides. That was an unexpected bonus!

The Quill Shawl is finally up and ready for purchase!! Find it @ NorCalKnitsnBits.com as well as www.ravelry.com/stores/norcalknitsnbits and https://norcalknitsnbits.etsy.com. Inspired by the Japanese feather stitch in combination with the luxurious Purl Soho Linen Quill yarn, creating a feminine and delicate lace shawl. A meditative and relaxing knit with rhythmic repeats. Fingering weight yarn, US size 4 (3.5mm) 32-40" circular needle, stitch markers (if desired), blocking mats and pins are very helpful. Rectangular shape at 72"x22" after blocking, with scalloped edges all around. This pattern is in written and charted format for both knitting styles. Intermediate skill level, but a great way to challenge and engage advanced beginners and enjoyable for advanced knitters alike. Size can be adjusted with more/less repeats and more/less stitches at cast on. On to the next exciting design idea.... whatever will it be?

How do I purchase the pattern? :)
It is beautiful!!
